DALE & JAN HOLLOWAY

Jan and Dale Jan and I met on Valentine's Day, 1963, at Robby's Drive-in Restaurant on 28th Street in Grand Rapids, Michigan after a high school basketball game.

Three years later, also on Valentine's Day, we became engaged to be married. We had planned to get married the next year on Valentine's Day (something magical about that day), but we moved it up to November 4th when it looked like I would be leaving soon for basic training. As it turned out, I left for Ft. Benning, Georgia, the next April.

God has blessed us with three children and six grandchildren. You can read all about them and see their pictures on their individual pages on this site.

We have been in the ministry for over thirty years. The majority of that time has been in pastoral ministry, although we served four years in Honduras as missionaries. I also worked in administration for over five years with an international mission board. From 1998 to 2002 I served on the senior staff of the Christian Medical & Dental Associations and am currently the pastor of Living Hope Wesleyan Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Jan enjoys reading, knitting, crocheting, and working with all kinds of crafts. I enjoy listening to music (I played trombone and string bass in the 126th and 291st Army Bands), NASCAR racing, computers, and ham radio.

Oh, in case you're wondering, that beautiful bird below is Paquita, my pet Sun Conure.
